NEC CI hosts first regional partner conference

Japanese conglomerate NEC Computers International, makers of NEC and Packard Bell brand PCs has completed its first regional partner conference in Cyprus.

NEC Computers International has just completed its first regional partner conference. The Japanese conglomerate, which sells the NEC and Packard Bell brands in the region, hosted a conference for regional partners and staff at it’s Cyprus-based business development unit, Frontiers.

Resellers from the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Palestine, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria and Bahrain attended the conference that covered marketing and distribution strategies for the region. The company is keen to promote the Packard Bell consumer PC range, which currently rates as the sixth most popular in Europe according to Gartner Dataquest.

“Strengthening the regional presence of NEC and Packard Bell brands, the company's consumer product range, requires vision, investment and insight,” explained Lenia Iacovides, managing director, Frontiers. “The new regional set up is flexible enough to adapt to changing market conditions, yet well established and experienced to capitalise on the Middle East's growing PC market.”

“Our agenda is set, the network is in place and we are now in a position to implement the regional expansion strategy,” added Michel de Bievre, executive director NEC CI International Division. “It was important to meet personally with the partners and forge the relationship between NEC CI and Frontiers. Good interpersonal relations remains the strongest key to future success.”
