Compaq has strengthened its distributor network in the Middle East with the appointment of Redington Gulf Fze. The UAE-based reseller will handle the distribution of Compaq’s IT consumer products, such as iPAQs and Presario desktops and notebooks within the Emirates.

Dr. Samer Chaar, general manager for Compaq Gulf and Levant, explains that excellent distribution is the key to customer satisfactions and, as such, the “combination of our industry leading technology with top level service provides an unbeatable proposition.”

“We believe that our partnership with Redington provides just such a proposition to the UAE market,” he adds.

Raj Shankar, director of Redington Gulf Fze, believes that the company’s excellent vendor and customer relationships have been the key element in its ongoing success and Compaq appointment.

“It has helped us in gaining partnerships with major IT companies throughout the Middle East. Today we are really proud to be chosen by a major vendor like Compaq as IT consumer product distributors in the UAE,” he says.
