National Bank of Dubai is set to deploy BMC Software’s Patrol and Control solutions as it looks to automate its key IT management processes and boost customer service levels.

Patrol will be used to manage the bank’s systems, databases and applications while Control-M will automate job scheduling. A third solution, Control-D, will be used to control output management.

The implementation, which is to be carried out by one of BMC Software's partner, Elite Computer Solutions, is scheduled for completion by the end March 2002.

"The challenge for today’s business is to deliver continual improvement in terms of service to the customer. As services depend to an ever-increasing extent on technology, it is critical that this is reliable,” says David Watt, head of information systems & technology for National Bank of Dubai.

“We are pleased to enter into a partnership with BMC Software as together we believe that the Bank will be able to meet all of the quality improvement goals in terms of availability of information technology," he adds.

Tim Peck, Middle East general manager for BMC Software, believes that National Bank of Dubai’s move to automate IT processes in order to improve customer service is in keeping with the current technology drive by many of the region’s financial institutions.

“This project is underlining the change that key businesses in the Region are taking towards recognising the value of quality of service to their business,” he says.
