Cyprus-based IT business development and channel management specialists Frontiers has been appointed as NEC Computers International's (NEC CI) regional business development unit (BDU) in the Middle East.

The move will see a greater attempt to muscle the Packard-Bell PC brand, which NEC CI supplies, into the Middle East’s consumer and small business market.

“NEC CI's dedication to develop a reseller channel coupled with Frontiers’ regional know-how on sales and channel development is aimed to secure more product penetration in the Middle East,” said Lenia Iacovides, Frontiers' managing director. “We will seek to recruit new quality channel partners and we will be responsible for the development and management of the channel, as well as offering sales, bids and tenders and local marketing support.”

Working under the umbrella of NEC's international operations team in Angers, Frontiers will manage the overall regional business management of NEC CI, which includes Africa, the Mediterranean and the Balkans.
