MobileCom, the Jordanian mobile phone network company, has spread its operation to Aqaba, in the south of Jordan. MobileCom wants to offer the same level of service to all regions of the country as that enjoyed by Amman and the north. The new facility comprises a shop and customer care centre in the Jordan Telecom building.

“MobileCom is supporting the development of the Aqaba region by bringing world class-mobile communications services that deliver the highest quality service and customer care possible to facilitate the communications needs of Jordan’s growing commercial hub,” said Jean Christophe Caillat, CEO of MobileCom. “The inauguration is held in line with His Majesty King Abdullah II birthday celebrations, and we are looking to deliver on His Majesty’s call for support to development of Aqaba and its surrounding areas.”

The shop has the services one would expect inlcuding lines, handsets, bill payments and other customer services. The Aqaba centre makes a total of six MobileCom shops and three customer care centres in the Kingdom and the company is planning more.

“MobileCom is committed to provide accessibility to its services for all Jordanians throughout the Kingdom, Aqaba being a key location pegged for further development,” said Erick Valette, chief marketing officer at MobileCom. “Moving forward, MobileCom will continue to build on its investments in the Southern region to deliver new advanced services that facilitate further growth to an important zone that holds tremendous economic significance,” he concluded.
