Seven Seas, a leading local solution provider, has announced it is to sponsor the UAE’s Victory Team this year. It is part of a deal that the companies worked out for Seven Seas to provide telephony and network solutions for the Victory Team’s headquarters. The solution will provide digital communication over a LAN based on the INDeX system and Avaya’s Unified Messenger technology.

“The INDeX and Unified Messenger solutions that have been taken by the Victory Team are proof of Seven Seas commitment to concentrating on bespoke solutions to the region’s industry. It also demonstrates how Seven Seas is diversifying its portfolio to allow it to leverage the broad base it has in services and development,” said Mark Richards, CEO, Seven Seas.

The INDeX solution will allow future growth in the team and offer a cordless internal telephone system as well as giving every member of the team a single voice, email and fax message box which will allow them to stay in touch via telephone, PC or any internet connection. The cordless functionality is enhanced by a mobile GSM base station that can be taken to races allowing team members to coordinate wherever they are in the locality.

“We at Victory Team pride ourselves in using the latest technologies to maintain our number one position in the world of Offshore Powerboat racing and with this in mind we realised we had to power our backroom communications with the latest technology,” said Khalfan Harib, managing director of the Victory Team. “In Seven Seas and the Avaya solution we saw world class service and support combined with a totally scalable communications platform that would allow us to integrate our voice and data to take advantage of all the moves in telecommunications including Computer Telephony Integration, mobile telephony and call centre management,” he continued.

“In a fast moving business such as powerboat racing, uptime is a must and a key component of this is the support and service you get from your IT partner. Seven Seas not only demonstrates the capabilities of the solution by using it in-house and the 24/7 call centre capability and fast on-site service give us the security in the IT solution we need,” concluded Harib.
