Microsoft pledges commitment to Kuwait IT sector

Microsoft Gulf annnounces its sponsorship of the second largest Information Technology and Communication exhibition (Info/ Connect 2002) in the region, scheduled to be held in Kuwait, between January 16 and 24, 2002.

Microsoft Gulf has confirmed its sponsorship of the second largest Information Technology and Communication exhibition (Info/ Connect 2002) in the region, scheduled to be held in Kuwait, between January 16 and 24, 2002. Microsoft is sponsoring Info/Connect 2002 for the third consecutive year. The software giant will participate in the nine-day event, along with its key partners in Kuwait—Professional Computers, Al Wazzan Computers and Al Sarraf Computers

“The twin exhibitions of Info 2002 and Connect 2002 have over the years, grown from strength to strength and have succeeded in placing Kuwait on the regional IT map,” said Mr. Ali Dalloul, country manager, Microsoft Kuwait, Qatar & Bahrain. “As an active player in the Kuwait market for the past ten years, Microsoft, along with its partners, has played an important role in developing the IT industry in Kuwait by providing innovative software solutions and services to its customers in both the government and private sectors,” he added.

This is the first time that Info/Connect 2002 will witness Microsoft’s direct presence. Featured at the show will be wireless and portal technologies from Microsoft’s .NET technology partner, GulfWeb International.
