Tejari.com, leading online B2B marketplace expressed interest in extending its market reach to the Indian Subcontinent during its participation in GITEX Hyderabad. Sheikha Lubna Al Qasimi, managing director of Tejari, this week conducted strategic meetings with Chandrababu Naidu, chief minister of Andhra Pradesh and Dr. C. Rangarajan, governor of Andhra Pradesh, to discuss ways to further e-commerce in India’s burgeoning business sector.

“The objective of Tejari’s participation at GITEX Hyderabad is to benefit our members by expanding the number of companies trading through the marketplace, especially in the recruitment of new members from the Asian Subcontinent,” commented Sheikha Lubna. “The vital relationship between His Excellency Chandrababu Naidu, chief minister of Andhra Pradesh, and Dubai’s business community, has led to an important increase in cooperation between the two regional trading hubs. Andhra Pradesh has become of the most important IT centres in the world, and our presence here is of critical importance in developing Tejari’s future direction.”

Tejari’s members have expressed considerable interest in strengthening online trading links between the Middle East and the Subcontinent.
