US Robotics posts 160 percent Q4 growth in Middle East

Middle East Internet product sales see 20 percent increase over EMEA sales in Q4 2001; US Robotics awards channel partners for outstanding performance

US Robotics today announced that its Middle East business had grown by 160 percent in the last quarter of 2001. The announcement, made during US Robotics “Achievements Night” awarded gold and travel vouchers as well as certificates to 20 of the company’s regional channel partners in recognition of their achievements in the region.

“I am really delighted to see that, within this short time, we have been able to achieve such an outstanding performance,” commented Rea, US Robotics EMEA director, John Rea. . “Apart from delivering world-class Internet solutions throughout the region, we have been working very hard with our distributors and resellers to provide them with the support needed to deliver top customer solutions and take a leading position.”

Also commenting on the occasion was Yusuf Syed, US Robotics regional sales manager, Middle East: “Although the EMEA region enjoyed 140 percent through the fourth quarter of 2001, we still managed to top this figure by 20 percent.”
