Menafn launches 2nd round of the “Play to Win” investment game

MENAFN.com, the online financial services group announced the launch of the second round of its online competition- “Play to Win” Investment Game.

The 2nd “Play to Win” Investment Game started on Jan 2nd, 2002 and will end on Feb. 22th, 2002 and the total cash prizes will amount to $3,500. Each contestant will be offered $ 100,000 in virtual money to trade US equities. Contestants will have the opportunity to win one of five cash prizes offered to players with the highest portfolio ranks.

Aramex International, the sponsors of the 2nd round of “Play to Win” Investment Game, will award cash prizes. Prizes are $ 1500, $ 1000, $500, $300, $200. Aramex International was one of the three sponsors of MENAFN’s 1st “Play to Win” Investment Game.

“The launch of the ‘Play to Win II’ investment game came in response to the phenomenal success of the 1st ‘Play to Win’ investment game which was launched in summer of 2001,” explained Ghada Mukhalalaty, VP PR and marketing at MENAFN.

“Over 1,500 contestants from around the Middle East actively participated in the previous game in an attempt to win one of three cash prizes. Each contestant spent an average of 35 minutes per day playing the Game. The “Play To Win II” game is a premium version with new advanced investment features. It will be more challenging and exciting for contestants,” added Mukhalalaty.

The company is offering the game as a part of its co-branded solutions and will be packaged, licensed, and sold as a separate solution to corporations, businesses, and financial institutions who will in turn use it as a hands-on customer acquisition and awareness tool.

The launch of the new game also coincides with MENAFN’s introduction of the first weekly financial newsletter in the region. The newsletter features the most important weekly global and regional business and financial headlines, interesting reports and research, market updates, and key weekly financial indicators. It is geared for individuals who want to keep abreast of key events in the financial world and on a weekly basis.
