Canon Middle East and ACCPAC, a leading end-to-end e-business solutions provider, today announced the completion of a regional project to automate the management and decision support for Canon Middle East’s regional operations. The project will use ACCPAC’s e-business solutions, while Systronics, ACCPAC’s UAE partner, will develop the add-ons for ACCPAC’ s Advantage Series and provide ongoing consulting and support to the company.

“In terms of financial management and operational efficiency, ACCPAC’s Advantage Series 5.0 streamlines our operations in the region and will result in great decision making tools that will help us service our customers and partners in the region better, especially when it comes to managing our finances, the movement of our products and forecasting trends in the market,” commented Adnan Minty, finance and administrative controller, Canon Middle East.

“The Advantage Series 5.0 is the first financial package in the world with a web-interface that links the company’s web-front to its back office stock management,” explained Zareh Tutunjian, managing director of Systronics. Integrated back-office operations include multicurrency support, extensive reporting, advanced drill-down analysis and support for simultaneous multiple languages including Arabic, French, Chinese and Spanish.

This project will enable Canon to externalise its financials once it decides to conduct business with partners directly on the Internet.
