MMI Travel has signed up with Information Dynamics to deploy an ‘intelligent’ travel system. When installed the Oracle-based e-Travel 2000 package will enable MMI Travel to enhance efficiencies, reduce operational costs and improve customer service.

“Good information flow is key to making sound travel management decisions, and the present day management systems are not adequate or detailed enough,” says Sundar Vasudevan, manager of MMI Travel.

“With the burden of costs and services of business travel now having shifted to corporate clients, MMI Travel seeks to support them with an integrated travel intelligence system,” he added.

With e-Travel installed, MMI Travel will begin offering ‘intelligent’ corporate services to its clients, such as expense and waste analysis, consolidated expenditure statements and real-time data updates, explains Vasudevan.

“Our choice of Information Dynamics is very apt as their e-travel package allows us to boost our inherent strengths, and reinforces our leadership among 'service company' clients, who seek specialised and tailor-made travel solutions,” Vasudevan adds.

According to Information Dynamics’ CEO, Arun Dani, the implementation of e-Travel will help MMI Travel avoid errors, such as duplication of process and “thereby allot their resource to other areas.”

“The integration of the product also provides the facility for on-line data interface with other business modules to acquire quick and accurate MIS and decision support reports,” comments Dani.
