Oracle launches OPN in the Middle East

Oracle Middle East today announced the immediate availability of the Oracle PartnerNetwork (OPN) in the Middle East.

Oracle Middle East today announced the immediate availability of the Oracle PartnerNetwork (OPN) in the Middle East. OPN ( is a comprehensive online resource that simplifies the method of accessing and delivering Oracle, and other third-party, resources to Oracle’s business partners in the Middle East.

“The Oracle PartnerNetwork is designed to position our partners for success,” said Ayman Abouseif, Oracle’s marketing director for Eastern, Central Europe and Middle East, Africa. “Oracle has already experienced the efficiencies of moving to an e-business model. We have increased our margins, slashed internal costs, expanded our reach and have been able to do more with less. We want to enable our partners to experience the same benefits from adapting the e-business model.”

Developed with Oracle’s 9i Database technology, OPN provides access to Oracle resources in a manner similar to Oracle’s successful online developer community, Oracle Technology Network (OTN). OPN features a dedicated partner-specific portal that helps partners move their business online, cut costs and increase efficiency by providing immediate access to all of the resources and online services needed to develop a successful partnership with Oracle as well as to take advantage of all of the benefits an online business can offer.
Members of the Oracle PartnerNetwork will have access to new services that will enable them to develop, market, sell and deliver solutions into the market faster.

Many Oracle partners are in the process of making the transition to the Oracle PartnerNetwork, allowing them free access to the portal and the services it provides. For new partners, access to the portal will be included in the annual partner subscription fee, currently US$1,995.00.
