Networking vendor 3Com has unveiled a range of 60 products updated to be fully compatible with Windows XP. The network drivers for all 60 are embedded in XP so upgrades and new installations should be simplicity itself. The products ready to plug-and-play include all 3Com’s 10/100/1000 Ethernet network interface cards (NICs) and wired and wireless offerings.

“3Com solutions are the richest and easiest to use networking products on the market today. Our customers rely on their high performance and connectivity capabilities,” said Bruce Clafin, president and CEO of 3Com. He added that collaborating with Microsoft had ensured that 3Com’s networking solutions are optimised for XP and deliver the best solutions whether at home or for business.

“Microsoft is pleased to be working with 3Com to deliver great computing experiences to our customers,” said John Fredrickson, general manager of Windows marketing at Microsoft. “3Com offers a breadth of Windows XP products, so business and consumer users have a good selection in connectivity devices and applications.”

Products in 3Com’s XP line up include: the Gigabit server PCI-X NCI, the 10/100 Secure NIC, the 10/100 Managed NIC, Wireless LAN PC cards with XJACK antenna, 10/100 LAN+56K modem PC cards, 10/100 LAN PC card and 10/100+56K mini PCI Adapter.
