Raja Trad appointed new CEO of Leo Burnett, MENA region

Raja Trad, CEO of Leo Burnett, MENA region, announced today that Kamal Dimachkie, New Business Development Director, Leo Burnett Middle East, has been appointed Managing Director for Leo Burnett Dubai and Kuwait.

Raja Trad, CEO of Leo Burnett, MENA region, announced today that Kamal Dimachkie, New Business Development Director, Leo Burnett Middle East, has been appointed Managing Director for Leo Burnett Dubai and Kuwait.

Kamal started his career in advertising with Leo Burnett in 1985. His experience in the Middle East took him through a number of assignments in Lebanon, Bahrain, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, and more recently, the UAE. He handled a number of senior positions such as managing the Kuwait and Saudi Leo Burnett agencies and developed two prominent multinational assignments in the Middle East, namely Procter and Gamble and Kellogg.

"This change across the MENA region is designed to strengthen the quality of services and provide our network with a structure that would focus on our diversification and expansion objectives", said Trad. "To meet those objectives, my responsibilities as CEO of Leo Burnett MENA will be expanded to cover all units of B|Com3 in the region, namely D'Arcy (the new fully-owned B|Com3 Brand Agency), MS&L (a specialized Public Relations agency) and LB Digital (a specialized interactive/CRM agency)."

In his new position, Kamal will carry on developing the agency's existing portfolio of clients, as well as continue the agency's pursuit of its new business development objectives and drive. "Our aim is to continue making Leo Burnett one of the most attractive environments for clients and talent in the Middle East" said Dimachkie.

Leo Burnett currently handles many brands including McDonald's, Coca-Cola, Walt Disney, Marlboro, Kellogg, Tampax and Nintendo.
