Compaq has appointed Al Ghurair Enterprises as a ‘value added system’ reseller in the UAE as it continues to sell Compaq’s extensive range of wireless, enterprise and storage solutions to the small-and-medium sized market.

With a strong presence in the banking, finance, and government sectors, the Compaq partner has already implemented a number of projects within the UAE’s financial services institutions.

“Our choice was an easy one. Al Ghurair Enterprises have the qualified resources and the ability to provide full and integrated solutions to different business sectors,” explains Dr. Samer Chaar, general manager, Gulf and Levant.

“Al Ghurair Enterprises have invested heavily to recruit highly experienced IT professionals, which allows them to offer quality, reliable and efficient customer services in the region,” he adds.

Yehia El Halaby, group general manager of Al Ghurair Enterprises, believes that the appointment will help the company obtain yet more business in the region as tying in with a global player increases its pedigree.

“Compaq chose Al Ghurair Enterprises due to our ability to provide comprehensive solutions to customers in the local market. As a result of this agreement with Compaq, we will be able to add more value to our customers by representing one of the largest IT companies in the world,” he says.
