Acer Computer (M.E.) Ltd. announced today a new channel strategy to boost the retail and small and medium enterprise (SME) markets in Egypt. The company has appointed Imanteco and CompuServe as its authorised resellers in the country to empower the retail and SME operations in the Egyptian market. Imanteco will handle Acer’s retail and distribution operations, and CompuServe will focus on the development of Acer’s SME business in Egypt.

“Egypt is one of the largest and most critical markets in the Middle East,” said Antoine Noujaim, Acer Computer (M.E.) Ltd. regional manager for East Mediterranean and CIS. “Newly launched monetary and regulatory governmental initiatives in Egypt have encouraged Acer to support the retail and SME markets in the country by providing them with technology that is best-of-breed, affordable, and accessible.”

Acer enjoys remarkable popularity in Egypt. It is rapidly acquiring market share in the retail and SME sector in the Middle East, in general, and the Egyptian market in particular. “With the launch of Acer’s new strategy for the retail and SME markets in Egypt, we are confident that this new direction will bring great benefits to the Egyptian user, the retailers, and the economy in general,” said Khalid Noor, managing director, CompuServe.
