Alwen International has unveiled a business-to-business portal, alwen.com, to facilitate business relationships between Europe and the Middle East. Focused on importers and exporters, the company says that its mission is to ‘help generate exchanges and new contracts through the medium of the Internet.’

Comprising various sections and services, including export regulation, business trip information and market statistics, the company has got off to a flying start as it claims to have 15,000 companies, from 24 different industries, already registered.

Basic company information is free to the user while $55 gains users a complete set of commercial business information. Buyers simply register their requirement on the site, for prospective suppliers to view and respond to.

“More and more organisations are requiring a wealth of information on new export markets in the Middle East while Arabian businesses are seeking new partners in Europe,“ says Naamen Bouhamed, managing director of Alwen International.

“The simplest thing was the Internet and we are proud to launch this new venture today. The greatest thing about it is that it is a lively platform that will evolve every day, not just updates of the many practical guides and listings but also deals to be forged and updates on the markets and industries will be regularly added,” he adds.
