Farabi Technology, a provider of SNA and Web-to-host connectivity solutions for IBM mainframes and AS/400 systems, is using Gitex to show the industry's first 3270 coax USB adapter.

Manufactured by Forvus Research, the 3270 coax USB adapter allows 3270-coax connectivity to a standard USB port.

Farabi will be marketing and supporting Forvus Research's high performance 3270 Coax USB Adapters in the Middle East.

"Forvus internal coax adapters have proven themselves in many large installations in the Middle East market; today we are delighted to offer the first ever USB Coax adapter to our mainframes clients. With this USB coax introduction, Forvus has made it easier and more flexible for any PC or notebook to be connected to the mainframe controller", said Bachar Kassar, general manager, Farabi Technology Middle East.
