Ashley LLC are offering Gitex visitors the opportunity to try out Creative’s latest soundcard, the Soundblaster Audigy.

In addition to this and a range of other Creative products, Ashley are also displaying a variety of MSI motherboards and graphics cards, and Toshiba hardware.

Ahmed Farahini, general manager of Ashley, is excited about being at Gitex, and is confident that this will be one of the best shows ever. “We are excited to be here and we are hoping that a lot of people come and visit here,” he said. “This show is for the Middle East market, and distributors and resellers will come. Gitex is very important because this is the only showcase in the Middle East, so important vendors come here.”

Ashley are sharing their stand with Creative, who are inviting attendees to come and test out their latest products. As well as the new Soundblaster Audigy card, Creative are also displaying external CD-RW drives and the Nomad Jukebox, a portable MP3 player which features a 6G/byte hard drive.

“What we want to do for Gitex this year is launch the Audigy soundcard," said Wesley Lee, marketing regional sales manager, Creative Labs Asia.

“We want to highlight some of our speakers, called Creative Inspired. They were by Cambridge soundworks, but now the brand name has changed: we want to focus on Creative branding,” added Lee.

“Audio is our first product line we want to highlight, second is speakers. We also have other products like the external CD-RW. We launched Audigy on Sept. 16 and we want to follow through with this exhibition: Creative have decided we are going to have a narrow focus on audio and speakers,” he explained. “This will be a good show for us to kindle that flame. Everyone was saying “why do I need to buy Audigy?” because they feel very comfortable with it.”
