After launching at last year's show, Bayt.com is using Gitex 2001 to highlight its revamped employer functionality as it strives to deliver the best service possible to its users.

Mona Ataya, vice president, marketing, Bayt.com, explains that the changes have been made after close consultation with employers from around the region as the company attempts to really understand what works for them in terms of online recruitment.

"Today we have 4200 employers registered with us, which is a huge number in such a short period of time. Because of the high demand, we were forced earlier than we had initially anticipated to re-evaluate what our functionality looked like and to optimise it," she explains.

In addition, the online recruitment company has linked up with education provider, the 'Smart Management Business Centre,' at this year's show to talk about its professional training and development facilities, which are tailored to target a wide cross-section of professionals within an organisation.

The courses, which will cover a broad range of business topics, including customer service, branding, talent retention and company culture, will be presented by a number of guest speakers, such as Ron Kaufman, while interactive workshops and presentations have been designed to enrich professionals with the information and advice they need to guide them in their lines of work.

Bayt says that it's alliance with SMBC is a direct extension of its ongoing commitment to providing its members with a best-of-breed platform for personal and professional development as it tries to bridge the gap between professionals and training resources.

"We are very excited at Bayt about this alliance, because it re-enforces our philosophy of empowering people by providing them with superior self development tools," says Ataya.

“For our users who have secured a job through Bayt, and for those who are searching, we want to provide energetic, upbeat, and practical training facilities that have broad appeal and can further empower our users to enhance their professional lives," she adds.
