According to Assad Haddad, managing director of Communications Security International (COMSEC), security is set to play a leading role in this year's Gitex as more and more companies concentrate on the integrity of their IS systems.

He explains that it is not just companies without existing solutions that are driving this interest either, as many companies with existing firewall installations are investigating the possibility of deploying a second.

"Many companies want to deploy a second [firewall] that is different from their existing one in order to be more sophisticated in terms of intrusion detection," he says.

In order to capitalise on this interest, Comsec will be demonstrating its full range of security solutions on stand throughout the show. In addition to walking visitors through its Nokia, TopLayer, and Sonicwall offerings, the company will also be pushing its consulting services.
