Pioneer is showcasing its enormous wall mounted plasma widescreen TV. The PDP 503’s screen is over a metre long, and a whopping 38.9kg.

The unit has a viewing angle of over 160 degrees, ensuring that no one misses the action, no matter where they’re sitting.

The TV also boasts teletext, nicam stereo sound, five preset screen modes and a built in amplifier for optional speakers.

The screen can also be split into two 27 inch displays to enjoy two inputs at once. The unit is less than 10 cm deep, so is ideal for wall mounting, and, unlike other plasma screen TV’s, it has no fan, so nothing spoils quiet moments in a film. It can even be used as a computer monitor and can handle resolutions up to 1280 x 960.

Pioneer says the screen is ideal for a media room, corporate presentation or a home cinema setup. Whatever it’s used for, this plasma TV is bound to impress.
