Invensys unifies Powerware brands

Invensys Powerware Division is to unify its power protection products under one brand. By the end of the year, the Powerware and Best Power range of devices will be marketed using the Powerware brand.

Invensys Powerware Division is to unify its power protection products under one brand. By the end of the year, the Powerware and Best Power range of devices will be marketed using the Powerware brand.

Invensys acquired both Powerware and Best Power in 1999, and has now decided to simplify its marketing by uniting the two under one banner. Previously it has kept the distinction between the two because of the different market segments they addressed—Best Power was well known in the SME market; Powerware in the enterprise arena.

Jorma Mannekoski, product marketing director for Invensys Powerware EMEA explained: “As we prepare to develop through the 21st century, the consistency of one UPS brand, a common product line and one operation model will enhance the product offering to our customers, enhance the performance of our R&D department and create more effective sales and marketing resources.”
