Nokia will host Nokia Game 2001, an interactive mystery game, between 4th and 23rd November this year. Played across no fewer than twenty-eight countries in the Middle East and Europe, Nokia hopes that it will stand as the world’s biggest all-media interactive challenge.

“Nokia Game will connect continents, nations and neighbourhoods,” said Eddie Maalouf, marketing manager, Nokia mobile phones Gulf, “as it will be played simultaneously across Saudi Arabia, Oman, UAE, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, Jordan and Europe.”

During the game, players take on the identity of a central character and seek to solve the mystery as it slowly unfolds.

To solve the series of puzzles and challenges, players must spot clues planted in various media, from SMS messages and short TV movies, to radio announcements, newspapers and magazine ads. Registration is free, although players need access to a mobile phone, Internet and email.

At the end of the three week game, the best ten players from each country will win the latest Nokia handset.

“This is the third time we are brining Nokia Game to mobile phone users,” said Pekka Rantala, vice president, marketing services, Nokia mobile phones.

“This year’s Nokia Game will involve even more players in more countries, providing them with thrilling experiences and challenging tasks during an intense three week period.”

Players can register for Nokia Game between 4th October and 3rd November.
