Iomega has appointed Arab Business Machine as its distributor for the Middle East. ABM, an Independent Marketing Company (IMC) of Apple, will distribute the complete range of Iomega portable data storage hardware and media.

"We're pleased to welcome ABM, a leading and experienced partner who will help us develop Iomega’s business in the Middle East," said Richard Lim, country director for Asia South, Hong Kong and China at Iomega Pacific. "This agreement marks a big step in our efforts to get our industry-leading solutions to new customers in this burgeoning market."

ABM will be responsible for all marketing and support of Iomega in the region, for the range that includes the popular Zip drives and the peerless 10GB and 20GB removable drive systems. The deal will focus in part in supplying solutions to the enterprise and education markets.

"Iomega is a leading brand name for removable data storage, with solid brand equity and a great reputation” explained Elias Abou-Rustom, director of sales and marketing, ABM. "We are excited about extending the potential of Iomega’s solutions to new customers in the region. Following extensive marketing research, we are convinced that Iomega will play fundamental role in our concentric diversification and stable growth strategy.”
