Anixter hails success of Evolution 2001

Anixter, the communications infrastructure products distributor, is hailing the success of its Evolution 2001 roadshow. The show, which visited over 20 cities in 15 countries throughout Europe and the Middle East, concluded in Dubai last week.

Anixter, the communications infrastructure products distributor, is hailing the success of its Evolution 2001 roadshow. The show, which visited over 20 cities in 15 countries throughout Europe and the Middle East, concluded in Dubai last week.

The roadshow comprised of a series of seminars as well as an exhibition. Each vendors on the roadshow, including AMP, APW, Avaya, Lucent, Panduit, Rittal Nortel and Belden, had a stand of their own at the exhibition where resellers and end users could meet and discuss the latest developments and industry issues face to face. Seminars were held on topics ranging from IP telephony, wireless solutions, building & testing the physical layer infrastructure, wireless vs copper vs fibre, new standards and market trends, amongst others.

The Dubai event attracted over 180 industry professionals, from a range of industry segments, including banks, government departments, hospitality, construction and IT.
