Intershop is set to showcase its industry specific e-business solutions for the financial services, retail and cross-industry sectors at this year’s Gitex. In addition, visitors to the company’s stand will be able to take a firsthand look at several of the regional online initiatives built on its technology platform, including the recently launched www.sheikhmohammed.co.ae education exchange.

“Organisations in the Middle East are looking for e-business solutions that address the specific needs of their industry while shortening the implementation cycle and increasing their time to market. Gitex visitors will get a firsthand look at the industry knowledge and proven technology behind Intershop’s sector-specific e-business offerings,” says Basel Tutunji, Intershop MENA sales director.

Tutunji and his team intend to demonstrate how the Middle East’s trading houses can increases customer loyalty and intelligence, broaden customer reach and improves supply chain efficiency with its retail e-business solution, as well as teaching financial services institutions how to create online services for both businesses and consumers.

“The Middle East is developing a vibrant and sustainable e-commerce market, as evidenced by the number of initiatives in which Intershop is the technology partner. It’s important that Gitex attendees see the ongoing development of different successful e-business projects in the region, which can then benefit their own transition toward Internet-based business models,” adds Tutunji.
