Arabian Automobiles, the sole distributor of Nissan vehicles in the UAE, is to use the Tejari marketplace to market and sell its Nissan range online. The company, part of the Al Rostamani Group, plans to participate in government auctions and tenders on the marketplace, while creating an additional sales channel for the private sector.

Arabian Automobiles is expecting increased sales opportunities, greater efficiencies in the sales cycle, and enhanced profitability to be benefits from Tejari membership. The company is also looking to offer Nissan auto parts for sale on Tejari as part of second e-commerce phase.

“Arabian Automobiles views Tejari as the ideal gateway to a new business-to-business e-commerce model, and we anticipate tapping new markets and expanding our sales channel through the marketplace,” explained Michel Ayat, general manager of Arabian Automobiles.

“Tejari also appeals to Arabian Automobiles as a secure and fair technology platform through which we can participate in auctions and government tenders, and the marketplace should enable us to make the sales process increasingly efficient and effective,” continued Ayat.

Arabian Automobile’s participation on Tejari is part of a larger e-commerce strategy, which may also include offering Nissan autos directly through an e-commerce storefront.

“Our members from both the private and government sectors will benefit from immediate online access to Arabian Automobile’s entire fleet through the Tejari marketplace,” said Lubna Al Qasimi, managing director of Tejari.com.
