As the Middle East networking market sees continued growth in L3 backbone switching and L4-L7 switching, Foundry Networks plans to use Gitex to enhance its growing reputation as it aims to become the price and performance leader for networking kit in the region.

“We have seen the Middle East as one of the fastest growing markets for IT products and services, and this event will provide us with an ideal opportunity to showcase our industry-leading products and technologies to customers from throughout the region,” says Farook Majeed, regional director, Foundry Networks.

“The latest developments in Layer 2/3 switching, Layer 4-7 Web switching, Global Ethernet, MAN deployments as well as the latest in optical transports and 10 Gig will be exhibited during the show”, adds Majeed.

The company will also be using the show to bulk up its contacts database as its DIC offices begin to play a key role in Foundry’s expansion plan within the Middle East, North Africa and Indian Subcontinent regions.
