Cisco has outlined its strategy for its participation at Gitex this year, with the company announcing two distinct areas of focus: the “Internet Roadmap to Business E-fficiency” and Cisco Architecture for Voice, Video and Integrated Data (AVVID) for larger enterprises and service providers.

In an effort to inject some originality into the presentation of networking technology, Cisco will be kicking off a country-wide tour at Gitex using the AVVID Truck, an articulated lorry crammed to the brim with the latest in Cisco voice, video and data technology.

Amongst the technologies on display will be the company’s recently released ultra-high bandwidth Gigabit over Copper solutions, as well as its wireless LAN products. For the small to medium business owner, the focus will be on how they can implement technology to leverage business opportunities using the Internet.

For the large enterprise and service provider, a display will be dedicated to solutions designed to extending the network beyond the LAN.
