Dubai Business Channel’s efforts to grow its viewership and its mindshare are bearing fruit. The Business Channel has just clinched a marketing deal with the Dusit Dubai hotel, which will see the Middle East’s business news service become the opening channel when guests at the five-star property switch on their televisions. In return, the hotel is promoted on the Business Channel.

“This is the first in a series of dual-marketing opportunities we are currently exploring with leading business hotels throughout the UAE, the region and internationally,” said Rashid Murooshid, managing director of the Business Channel.

“Dusit Dubai ideally fits our marketing partner profile, being a very business-oriented hotel and, like our channel, being heavily involved in Dubai’s ever-growing trade exhibitions sector. Its guests are the correct audience for us and will give us added exposure to visiting business executives who have their eyes firmly focused on the Middle East,” he added.

The Business Channel is available in the Middle East via Arabsat/Nilesat.

Dusit Dubai is part of a five star Thai hotel chain. It recently opened in Dubai in the Sheikh Zayed Road.

“Like the Business Channel, Dusit Dubai is positioned as a leading product for regional and international executives, so there is great synergy between us,” said Steve Jones, director of sales and marketing, Dusit Dubai. “The channel’s Pan Arab reach will further help build awareness of our newly-opened property throughout the region.”
