IBM Global Services has unveiled a suite of business-to-business solutions designed to enable e-marketplaces across EMEA.

IBM Global Services has unveiled a suite of business-to-business solutions designed to enable e-marketplaces across EMEA. The participant enablement portfolio is comprised of modular features to assist businesses plan, design, build and implement a private e-marketplace.

Designed for companies entering the e-marketplace environment for the first time, the solution is aimed at companies who wish to implement a one-to-many business-to-business e-commerce application to lower costs and increase efficiency between trading partners.

"IBM Global Services business-to-business solutions help improve our customer's bottom line, by providing options that enable an effective and efficient deployment of an operational process and system," says Luigi Freguia, vice president, distribution sector and B2B, IBM EMEA.

"Participants in today's business-to-business e-commerce have to choose the correct strategy and implementation that is most beneficial and suitable for their business model. These solutions have been specifically developed to support customers across a wide range of maturity in e-marketplaces," he adds.

Although the solutions will be tailored for the individual needs of each customer, the solution will be developed from the core modular features of the participant enablement suite, which include assessment, connection, interaction, integration and collaboration modules.
