GITEX Riyadh set for next year

Riyadh Exhibitions Company will organise the inaugural GITEX Saudi Arabia, scheduled for April 2002.

Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) has announced the launch of GITEX Saudi Arabia. The Middle East’s most popular IT show will make its KSA debut in Riyadh on April 21-25, 2002.

GITEX Saudi Arabia will be organised by Riyadh Exhibitions Company Ltd., a leading organiser of exhibitions and trade shows. The show will also include Computer Shopper, the retail arm of the GITEX franchise.

“The Kingdom is the biggest market in the Gulf region. GITEX Saudi Arabia will be an excellent opportunity for us to expand our brand name and the brand equity of GITEX in the whole of Middle East region,” said Wahid Attalla, general manager of Dubai World Trade Centre.

“We are sure the prestige and the high brand image of GITEX will help us in attracting most leading names in the global computer industry to Riyadh,” added Akram Masri, director, technical affairs, Riyadh Exhibitions Company Ltd. “We are delighted to be associated with DWTC, a world class exhibition organiser.”

GITEX now takes place in five locations: Dubai, Cairo, Beirut, Hyderabad and Riyadh.
