ICL claims to have launched Egypt’s first e-learning solution for training and development. The launch of the service, called ICL-KnowledgeGate, was celebrated with a reception at the Ramses Hilton’s top-floor restaurant, Windows of the World.

The service is to be delivered in partnership with NETg’s channel partner in Egypt, @vantage. NETg is the world’s fastest growing e-learning content provider with a portfolio of over 75,000 learning objects.

ICL Egypt said the partnership with @vantage will enable ICL Egypt to provide NETg’s e-learning training courses to individuals and corporations through a dedicated Web site: ICL-KnowledGegate.com. ICL is investing US $1 million in the project’s first phase. ICL has been operating in Egypt for more than 60 years, and the company now has 250 staff in Egypt. Its training centre has a capacity of 23,000 persons per year. The company specialises in providing solutions for financial services, retail, manufacturing, government, health and defence.
