Service subsidiary, LG Electronics Middle East, has reported major on-line business gains since the launch of its B2B service,, eight months ago.

“In May this year 94% of orders placed by our business partners were received on-line with a monthly average of 66% of total orders this year being placed over our B2B site,” said Y.R. Roh, managing director, LGEME. “These orders have been received from around 45 business accounts, including far-flung places such as Abidjan and Togo,” he added.

A recent LGEME survey of its 82 business partners in 50 countries revealed that 71% viewed the site as “excellent” or “good.” More than a third said it saved them time while 13% said it has also saved them money.

“Two-fifths of the site’s users are logging on to check parts stocks, to enquire about pricing or to place parts orders,” said Roh. “One quarter visit the site to download service manuals and get up-dated bulletins while another quarter visit to download shipping documents - the research clearly shows the site is firmly established as the New Economy way ahead for our customers,” he added.
