SAP Arabia has opened a state-of-the-art training facility at its new regional headquarters in Dubai, UAE.

The centre has two training rooms, capable of handling up to 60 delegates in total. Each delegate terminal is equipped with a 1.5 GHz PC networked over a high-speed LAN to the trainer’s computer.

The trainer’s PC is hooked up to a hi-tech Smart Board touch screen, which allows the trainer to fully control his machine from the front of the classroom.

On board the hi-tech hardware sits the latest SAP training software, which can be used to deliver three levels of courseware. Level 1 gives an overview of the entire SAP R/3 products and services; Level 2 courses concentrate on specific modules within R/3; and Level 3 drills-down to give high-end training on elements within R/3 modules.

Virtually all SAP training requirements can be met at the new training centre, according to Gideon Van Zyl, senior consultant for SAP Arabia. If very specific vertical industry courses are required, which are not immediately available, experts can be flown in from around the world to conduct the courses, he added.
