BBCArabic.com and Dubai Media City have launched a new online partnership for the Middle East, offering BBC online news content, in both Arabic and English. The new partnership is part of a growing network of BBCArabic.com agreements to provide online news content to support leading regional gateways.

In a first such venture for the BBC in the Middle East, a bilingual portfolio of BBC online news content will be provided by BBCArabic.com to Dubai Media City. This unique multimedia partnership agreement will bring a full range of BBC news content in Arabic and English to users of Dubai Media City’s website including BBC news headlines and radio news bulletins and BBC video news bulletins in English.

"It's the perfect media partnership,” said Hosam Sokkari, head of BBCArabic.com. “Dubai is now an established multi-language business hub and the BBC is the world's leading multi-lingual reference point for news and information - our new relationship with Dubai Media City marks BBCArabic.com's first full multimedia, bilingual agreement and is the beginning of an ambitious programme of BBC cooperation with Dubai Media City," he added.

“As part of our continuing initiative to be an integral part of the international media community, this agreement with BBCArabic.com will place Dubai Media City in the forefront of the information highway in terms of regional news feeds,” said Saeed Al Muntafiq, CEO, Dubai Media City. “BBC World Service has been a reference point for high quality information and we are proud to be a partner of this innovative news solution that will be accessible to the region through our website,” he added.
