The UAE is keeping up its push towards e-government with a two-day conference in Abu Dhabi beginning on June 16th. The conference organised by the General Information Authority (GIA) will address the challenge of e-government at federal and local levels.

Local and international companies involved in providing tools and solutions for the e-government process will participate in the conference, as well as local and federal government departments.

“The conference will assist both federal and local governments in utilising e-commerce and e-government for effective operations, and bring stake holders to a platform and assist them in understanding, evaluating and selecting appropriate solutions,” said Mohammed Ismail Al Tunaiji, director of the research & studies unit of GIA.

The conference, to be held at the Sheraton, Abu Dhabi, will be inaugurated by deputy Prime Minister, Sheikh Sultan bin Zayed Al Nayhan.
