Unisys has teamed up with Cisco, Intel, Microsoft and EMC to bring its e-business infrastructure methodology to the UAE. The five vendors are bringing their roadshow to Dubai on the 13th of June, and are looking to address the ‘unpredictable’ aspect of developing an IT infrastructure.

The co-operation between the vendors enables users to see how the components of an IT infrastructure fit together, addressing everything from operating systems, server hardware, processor architecture, storage and IP networking.

“We are leaving an era where major alliances are between two or three companies,” says Graham Eales, Unisys general manager, Middle East. “At one event, decision makers and enterprise IT users can view all the vital components of reliable and scalable e-infrastructure.”

The message the five vendors are looking to send out is one of a complete IT infrastructure from front to back end.

“The most successful online businesses have e-enabled all parts of their business. The ones that have struggled have addressed the front end, which is fine, but those that don’t have the back end in place are going to struggle,” adds Eales.

The roadshow will include demonstrations, and presentations, and will take place at the Jumeirah Beach Hotel.
