Seagate signs up ASBIS to distribute through the Middle East, North Africa and Turkey

ASBIS has been appointed as distributor for Seagate's range of storage solutions for the Middle East region.

Seagate has appointed ASBIS as a distributor for the Middle East, North Africa and Turkey. The company, with headquarters in Cyprus, also distributes Intel, IBM, Quantum and Microsoft products throughout central and eastern Europe, and the former Soviet Union.

“We are very excited about expanding our business with Seagate into these new regions,” noted Sergei Kostevitch, CEO of ASBIS. “ASBIS has a long standing relationship with Seagate spanning the last 10 years, and we look forward to continue to grow with them into the future.”

“ASBIS has done an exceptional job of driving Seagate business in Eastern Europe and the former Soviet Union, and we look forward to their expansion of Seagate’s presence in additional regions,” said Joel Stead, Seagate senior vice president, Worldwide Sales & Marketing.

ASBIS will serve the region from its distribution and warranty centre in Jebel Ali, Dubai. The full range of Seagate storage products, including disk drives, SANs and server appliances will be available. ASBIS has 26 offices in Europe, serving over 5000 customers in the emerging markets of central Europe as well as Western Europe.
