Zamil Steel Egypt (ZSE), producers of pre-engineered steel buildings, has implemented components of the Oracle E-Business Suite in a ‘record’ time of less than 80 days. ZSE is said to need an integrated e-business application to be able to manage the financial, order management and inventory aspects of its growing organisation.

Based on its business needs, Zamil selected Oracle as the sole vendor because it has an integrated e-business suite that offers superior flexibility, broad functionality, and ease of implementation and use.

"Zamil Steel Egypt succeeded in implementing five modules of Oracle E-Business Suite in 80 days utilising only 80% of our estimated budget,” said Zaki Sabbagh, IT manager of ZSE. “We are now in the process of starting the second phase of this e-business project – the implementation of the Oracle Order Management bundle," he added.

The Oracle E-Business Suite is said to give ZSE an increased level of financial and accounting control, as well as rapid online access to key financial metrics for improved decision-making. By enabling employees to directly access a number of critical financial functions, ZSE is hoping to streamline its business processes and reduce costs.
