Former US vice-president to speak at Gitex conference

Al Gore, last year's Democratic Presidential Candidate and former vice-president of the United States, has agreed to deliver a keynote address at this year's official Gitex conference.

Al Gore, the Democratic Presidential Candidate and former vice-president of the United States, will deliver a keynote address at this year's official Gitex conference.

The conference, which runs alongside Gitex at the Emirates Towers Hotel, will also feature two other prominent international speakers according to Ali Kamali, managing director for the conference organiser, Datamatix.

Gore's keynote will give an insight into how to build the GCC as an information technology society and the new direction for global economy and business. He is also expected to give his views on the future of technology, globalisation and the world economy.

As vice-president of the United States, president of the Senate and a member of the National Security Council, Gore established himself as a forward-thinking leader and a pivotal figure in the domestic and global economies.
