Indian leaders focus on IT business in UAE

A high level delegation of IT-focused Indian business leaders is visiting Dubai with the aim of forging closer ties with Middle East entrepreneurs.

Vivek Singhal, one of the most influential Indian business leaders in the IT sector, is heading a delegation of Indian IT exporters looking for opportunities in the Middle East. Singhal, who is chairman of the Electronics & Computer Software Export Promotion Council (ESC), will visit Dubai with a 15-member delegation from the IT/Software Sector from Bangalore.

The delegation will meet with interested parties at the Dubai Crowne Plaza Hotel for a breakfast session on Thursday, May 17. The breakfast briefing is being coordinated by the Dubai-based Indian Business Council and the Consulate General of India.

The breakfast is designed to forge relationships between Indian and UAE-based businesses and will be followed by one-to-one meetings between interested parties.

The Electronics and Computer Software Export Promotion Council is an autonomous body that was formed by the Indian Ministry of Commerce and is now part of the Ministry of Information Technology. The Council has more than 2000 members.
