Emaar to fund Marconi training for UAE nationals

Property developer Emaar Properties has teamed up with Marconi Communications to help in creating job opportunities for the UAE's IT graduates.

Property developer Emaar Properties has teamed up with Marconi Communications to help in creating job opportunities for IT graduates from the UAE. The programme will result in the graduates attending programming and business management courses at some of Marconi’s offices abroad.

This move is part of an ongoing Emaar plan top make a major contribution to UAE society by helping to train fresh UAE graduates with potential in various occupations,” said Mohamed Alabbar, chairman of Emaar Properties. “We aim to develop their skills in a manner which will help enhance their contribution towards strengthening the national economy. We have selected Marconi on the basis of its achievement in the UAE market, and following the partnership we have undertaken with them to help or make our Dubai Marina project the first “intelligent city” in the Middle East.”

Emaar will provide funding for the training of 10 graduates this year, with a view to them becoming employees with Emaar, Marconi, the UAE government or the private sector.
