Mobile retailing in the Middle East is still a precarious industry. General technology stores selling mobile phones are becoming less popular as customers compete for the specialists for peace-of-mind purchasing decisions.

Fono Distribution Services is a perfect example of how the good just got better. A leading retailer in mobile phones, accessories and services, the company has just signed its first master franchise agreement with Bahrain’s Almoayyed Communications, one of Bahrains principal players in the telecommunications industry.

“Bahrain was a key target in our region wide expansion plans,” said Ara Makhnikian, managing director of Fono. “We selected Almoayyed Communications as our master franchisee because of its long-established reputation in the market for performance and expertise, particularly in the telecommunications segment.”
