STME is driving its business into the low end of the enterprise market with the addition of a family of tape libraries designed for the SME market. STME will also install and service the solutions.

“These StorageTek L series of tape libraries are extremely reliable, competitively priced, and scalable from less than 1 terabyte to 16 terabytes of data storage, thereby allowing the backup capacity to grow as the organisation expands,” said Andrew Childs, STME’s tape specialist and channel manager.

Commenting on the move to the SME market, Trevor Hutson, general manager of STME said, “data storage needs are growing by more than 50 percent annually; and as more data is converted to digital formats, more businesses and organisations must improve and expand their storage capabilities.”

STME is promising easy installation in less than one hour, remote management, reliability and easy upgradability with it’s family of tape libraries.

“When a business loses data, the results can be devastating – customer dissatisfaction, loss of revenue, and even business failure. Taking data offline to tape storage is the most effective and efficient method to ensure secure storage back-up,” promised Hutson.
