TechData says an increase in customer price sensitivity, and the demand for quicker delivery times has led to the creation of a new 'value added' service offering.

The company says that its reduction of costs as well as its unprecedented 24-hour delivery gaurantee has already given resellers the ability to de-focus on the physical management of shipping goods and place more emphasis on customers' support and servicing needs.

"TechData's primary concern is the level of service that we offer," said Steve Lockie, MD of TechData.

"In the twenty-first century, this does not only mean providing the best quality of products, we also have to ensure that our customers can always count on us for support and that we can react rapidly to customer requests," he added.
