Gateway is promising to teach you everything you need to know about running a PC for $99 per year.

A new on-line tutorial facility is being targeted at the Middle East. The $99 fee for courses at gives users a one-year subscription to 250 different modules.

"This is designed to help a wide range of clients upgrade their PC skills through the ‘click and learn’ Personal Computing Course which is easy, convenient and powerful," said Lenia Iacovides, director International Gateway Europe, Middle East and Africa.

"This strategy is a key element in a drive to create lifelong relationships with clients by offering much more than PCs in the form of financing, Internet services, a personalized Internet portal, peripherals, software, service and training," said Iacovides. subscribers are invited to master their future through Gateway’s unique Online Training Library and assess their skills with special tools. They can choose a personalised study plan, work with an online instructor, or entirely at their own pace, and select an easy to use curriculum.

The Personal Computing Library allows users to polish their skills with popular programmes like Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, as well as how to surf the Internet, send digital photographs, and make presentations in Powerpoint etc.

"On-line training of this type is very much the future of computer training, as PCs move to the centre of our lives, and we each have to find our time to handle the education," said Iacovides.
