The official website of the Dubai Shopping Festival is attracting record numbers of visitors, with over 3,800 people registering in the first four days since it was relaunched

The official website of the Dubai Shopping Festival,, has reported over one million hits in its first four days of operation. The site, which was relaunched this year as a joint venture between the shopping festival and Dubai Ideas Oasis gathered more than 3800 registrations from 71 countries before the festival officially opened on 1 March. features a mixture of tourist information, competitions, quizzes and an online shopping mall, with partnership contributions from Emirates Airlines, Compaq, Nokia, Dubai Gold and Jewellery Group, Visa, Samsung, and Jumeirah International.
The site is being hosted by Dubai Internet City, and has a payment gateway provided by Emirates Bank International and secure transaction environment from Comtrust.

It is the first project to be fully incubated by the Ideas Oasis, and it is intended that the site will continue to provide tourist information and other functions after the festival has closed.

Dubai Shopping Festival Chief Executive Officer Mr Hussain Lootah said: “Our partnership with Dubai Ideas Oasis gives new impetus and the opportunity to take the world’s most popular family shopping festival across the world and reach a new and wider audience.
“Last year we had 5 million hits on the site in just one month – on what the first e-commerce enabled site in the Middle East. We are confident that the new elements will encourage more and more people to visit and become regular interactive visitors.”
